The leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called off its eight months old strike due to reasons described by the President, Emmanuel Osodeke pending when issues will be addressed.

Aggrieved workers at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital, today embarked on a warning strike following 7 months salaries owed by the management of the hospital. The workers are seen above staging a protest in front of the hospital. 

The Academic Staff Union of Universities on Tuesday announced that it had ended its one week nationwide warning strike over the non-implementation of a 2009 agreement with the Federal Government.
