The Department of State Services has revealed that the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, is not in its custody, Punch Newspapers Reports.

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria News Desk reports.

Following the disagreement between INEC and security operatives, the Edo State governorship election slated on Saturday 10th has been postponed till September 28th.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has resolved to proceed with the Edo state governorship election despite the advise from the police and DSS that the Saturday September 10th election be postponed due to security reasons. 

About 241 Nigerians including children on Tuesday voluntarily returned from Libya. They arrived at the cargo terminal of Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, and were received by the National Emergency Management Agency on behalf of the Federal Government. The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) facilitated their return in collaboration with the Nigerian Embassy in Libya.
